Beauty: Company #BBlogger approved beauty awards 2013

Almost every magazine does beauty awards, and it's great to see all the amazing products championed by their readers.

This year, Company Magazine have teamed up with six of the hottest beauty bloggers to shortlist the selection of products that their readers voted for. 

There are thousands of new beauty products launching every year and it's hard to keep up with what's best...there is a lot of advertising and PR involved but it's not always easy to determine what products are best for you, or your skin. Beauty bloggers are trusted and enable everyone to pick and choose easier and quicker, without wasting money!

Five best: Eye makeup removers

1. This Body Shop Camomile Kind Eye Make Up Remover costs £8 and is fab. Eye makeup comes off with just a few wipes, and it is gentle enough on the sensitive eye area. The camomile also helps soothe the eyes when tired, and the bottle really lasts a long time. It doesn't irritate the eyes at all and it can pretty much take everything off including lipstick.

2. This Gently Off product is probably the most effective eye makeup and lipstick remover if you wear a lot, or if you wear dark colours. As most MAC makeup stays on perfectly, they have created the perfect formula to take it all off! The mix of water and oil takes all make up off quickly, and the cucumber extract soothes while the damascus rose flower water refreshes. At £15 it's pricey but worth it.

3. The most expensive of the bunch but also one of the best out there, we have the Yon-Ka Lait Nettoyant cleanser (£32). Yon-Ka is a luxury French skin care brand with an impressive celeb following (Blake Lively and Kylie Minogue are fans), and most of their range is made up of 90% more natural ingredients. Soon all products will be paraben free, too. The super soft velvety texture is divine on skin, and of course removes all traces of make up. Some people opt to use these with other products to completely clense, but I felt this one also did a great job on its own. You just need to apply it with your fingertips and rinse with warm water, no need for cotton pads but you can opt to use them on lipstick for example. Fabulous product!

4. This one is my favourite. At only £3.39 and in a big bottle, the Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make Up Remover one of the best eye make up removers for gentle eyes out there. I have to say that this product has converted me into a Simple brand fan, and since then I have also tried the cleansing wipes which are incredible. The best thing apart from the cheap prices is that the product doesn't contain any oil, colour or perfumer so it won't upset your skin. Plus it contains pro-vitamin B5!

5. Most people know about Forever products and the fantastic benefits of Aloe Vera on the skin (there are many!). I regularly use the Forever Aloe Vera body and face cream (Aloe Propolis) and they really help with spots. The oil-free Sonya eye make up remover did a good job at removing my waterproof mascara, but it did sting a little. I have really sensitive eyes and I must have put too much liquid on as you only need a little for the great cleansing effect. What's great about this product is that it also moisturizes your lashes. £9.04

Food: Godminster celebration cheese cake

Did you guess that this 'cake' was actually entirely made of cheese? They could have fooled me...

Organic cheese company Godminster have created the 'ultimate celebration cheese cake', a glorious tower of mouth-watering delight, containing handmade brie and award winning Vintage Organic Cheddar, goats cheese and the heart shaped Godminster Cheddar amongst others (about 12kg of it that is!!). It serves 100-120 people and with the addition of wine and grapes I could see a lot of guests loving this even more than the average fruit cake!

Style Icon: Olivia Palermo

OK she might always look a little moody, but so does Victoria Beckham and she's a pretty funny lady! Olivia Palermo, aka The City girl as most of us know her, has impeccable New York style. I would definitely agree that her stunning face has something to do with this look, but she can sometimes  put an outfit together like I would never even imagine it. I take notes from her 'jean and spike heel' look as well as what she matches with dresses to make them edgier.

She makes cute ballet pumps look hot, she makes leather look even hotter, and she makes 'feminine' and 'sophisticated' look fierce. What really impresses me is her ability to match different colours, textures and lengths into what sometimes even looks like art! But I suppose when you've got designers sending you bags of clothes everyday you would be inspired every day...

P.S. how cute is her dog?!

Style: Mary Franck millinery

I'm the person you will never see wearing a fascinator hat at an English wedding. I can't stand them, I think they only suit sweet little old ladies and a hat should not be worn twice. I know, it's ridiculous, and everyone can wear what they want of course but I just don't get it.

However, I do have to say that I would 100% go for a millinery option instead. There are some incredibly stunning hand made hats and head pieces created by talented designers in the UK. Liberty sells a few, but the real design gems are the ones that you probably know nothing about. One of these designers is Mary Franck, and her creativity inspires me. I want every single piece from her recent collection, and I would love to wear one with a wedding outfit (never thought I'd say that)!
