Style: NEXT Press Day SS15

It's been a busy, busy week! Lots of press days, launch events and dinners...but I somehow managed to get to six! One of those was the NEXT SS15 press day, showcasing some handpicked highlights from their latest seasonal range delivery.

I was seriously impressed...

The womens collection was filled with beautiful colours,my favourite being the blue and burnt oranges. NEXT took tips from the runways with and incorporated the latest trends such as geometrical stripes, fringing, 70's chic, and my favourite - crochet. There were some real gems in there that could have been mistaken for designer pieces - well done NEXT!

One of the lovely white pieces with detailed fringing and little sheer stripes. Can't wait for this top to come in store! Apologies for it being a little blurry. £45

Stunning dress with sexy straps on top and at the back

There were some lovely colourful but subtle and pastel-y pieces, a little bit like candy!

Very Anya Hindmarsh-style, this clutch is so on trend! I bet it is very affordable, too.

Cute flats that go with everything

Gorgeous heels for the office

I was very impressed with the childrenswear range. I recently went to Selfridges to take a look at the Bon Point bits, and NEXT have actually nailed the neon and white cotton trends that Bon Point also has in their collection....so you get it at a fraction of the price! There were lots of adorable little rompers, skirts and combos in pretty colours that were not over the top. If I only had a kid to dress up...

Obsessed with pom poms!

Can you believe this is a kids outfit? Love it.

In the homeware section, NEXT took a lot of inspiration from far away shores to bring a sense of escapism to the home. There was lots to choose from - from nautical inspired decorations and garden accessories, to chic rope-decorated lights and minimalistic bold colours such as gold and brass/copper items. In the next few months, look out for this new 'copper blush' colour trend, according to trend setters Dulux Paints.

On the lookout for when these lights come in store...very chic

Bikini shopping in February? Bring it on!

Thank you for the invite, 'till NEXT time! ;)

London: Exploring Portobello on a Friday

Portobello Road and market is one of London'smost popular must visit shopping areas, and by far my favourite. It's a real shame that the swarms of tourists in the summer pretty much block out the streets and walkways, so it's hard to enjoy the beauty of exploring every nook and cranny here, including the lovely cafes and restaurants.

I would recommend to everyone to go on a Friday if possible...Saturday is the busiest and hardly anyone goes on the Friday...but the plus side is that everything will still be open. I took a day off to explore and meet up with a friend for coffee and really enjoyed it...check out what I found on the way (and had to refrain myself from buying!)

Vintage sweet and food tins are cheap and make for great colourful storage tins in the kitchen

See? Empty :)

You can find new things and old things...here are lots of cute vintage silver trinkets for necklaces or charm bracelets

Great gift finds

Even if you don't buy a lot of vintage, Portobello is almost like a treasure trove or museum for some beautiful antique garments - pretty to look at!

Door knobs, mini bottles, kitchen utensils...Portobello has it all

My favourite homeware store

Lots of stalls fill the streets where you can get inexpensive gems and gifts

These letter boxes make great decorations on the wall

I managed to snap this before I was told off by the vendor!!

If you are looking for a cool camera, this is the place

One area of the market, filled with new and vintage clothing

A sweet ending to the day with fresh juice and handmade cake at Granger & Co (Great for celeb spotting!)

New Finds: March

OK we're in April...this one's a wee bit late...check out what I bought last month!

I finally had an eye test done, at new brand KITE's Westfield Stratford store, and got these gorgeous 60's inspired cat eye glasses called Broadway in Marrakesh Diva (RRP £145). Surprisingly, they go with everything! They feel amazing, and look fab.

Pairing my new comfy shoes with Balenciaga, All Saints, Isabel Marant and Topshop (see similar items below)

I love the packaging! KITE optical glasses and sunglasses are available at their Westfield Stratford store or online on www.kitegb.com

New finds: Holiday buys

I'm off on holiday to Croatia in about a week to my cousin's house and have found a few great bits to take with me! When working in PR you feel like you need a holiday or rehab every other week, so I'm counting down the daysssss!!

1. The Body Shop bronzing kabuki brush, £16. I've heard great things about Bobbi Brown and Real Techniques brushes but if you don't want to spend too much money or can't find Real Techniques anywhere like me, the Body Shop has really good make up brushes.

2. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Bronzer in number 2, £23. This new bronzer was recommended to me by two friends, and it's so popular that Liberty have run out of stock for weeks and have a waiting list! It's really great, stays on all day (bingo!) and blends perfectly with the bronzer brush. Well worth the money.

3. Rihanna for River Island black crochet midi skirt, £15 on sale. I've wanted this 90's style skirt since I saw it on Rihanna months ago, but the £40 price tag shocked me at the time!! Finally the sale came and I can't wait to wear it to the beach!

4. Topshop premium fringe kimono, £50. Another item back by popular demand, this fringe kimono is also sold out all over the UK. I've bought a size 10 as I wanted it so badly!! Great item for winter as well....I love anything with hints of 70's.

London: Rihanna for River Island Meet & Greet

This was a particularly exciting week! I got to meet Rihanna with my friend Natalie at an exclusive meet & greet launch event for her River Island collection. We had champagne, we met the lady herself, watched the catwalk show and shopped till we (or our credit cards) dropped. She was very sweet, down to earth and absolutely stunning! Did I mention she was absolutely stunning?! Aghhh she is just sex on legs!

The collection is actually much better than I expected - very wearable and isn't too over the top. There is something there for every style, shape or size...Speaking about the collection Rihanna said: "Designing is fun, it's something I love to do creatively. I express myself through music and through fashion so it kind of helps to paint a picture of who I am. The collection is sassy, it's easy and it's Rihanna!"

I bought two body con dresses, a bra and a cap with her tattoo design on it.

Check out some photos below...
