New Finds: Cage heels and tribal necklace

Why do most purchases happen when you least expect them to, when you're not looking, and when you're so tired you can barely walk and you'd rather just be home?? Maybe that's just me!!!

I found these nice River Island beige caged cut out wedges (£55) this week whilst out with a friend, and I love them. Although they are no YSL cage boot, they certainly look sexy on and remind me of some designer heels I've seen out there. They are REALLY comfortable which for me is an essential whilst at work, so I didn't think twice when I tried them on. I also don't have any nude heels and the contrast between the different materials looks great.

Another gem I found that day was this New Look ethnic beaded tassel necklace. I don't EVER go into New Look, so when my friend told me about this necklace I didn't believe her...but I guess sometimes they do have one or two nice things and their necklaces are great at the moment. I'll be wearing mine with my new Topshop leather dress as all my other necklaces are too short. Perfect!

New Finds: Topshop culotte shorts

It seems that I am still in denial about the current London weather, as I can't stop looking at and buying summer clothes that are impossible to wear at the moment. Another one of these purchases was in Topshop today...I bought these cute and versatile culotte shorts in cream. As I am petite, short skirts and flowy type of shorts suit me well. I won't be wearing it to work but I can't wait to wear it out as soon as it gets warm! Here is how I would style the outfit...

1. A great item to have in the wardrobe now is a gray swetshirt like this T by Alexander Wang one. You can feel comfy and on trend at the same time...perfect. £154

2. I have this River Island necklace in a different colour and I wear it with almost everything...gives that little bit of glam to any outfit. £12

3. Topshop Culotte shorts in cream, timeless and cute! £28

4. I know everyone is wearing this style now, but they really are the ideal sexy shoe. Celine and Balenciaga is the way to go but if you can't afford it these Mango ones are just as pretty for only £74.99

5. Amazing bag available in H&M, reminds me of Celine again and it's only £39.99

London: Rihanna for River Island Meet & Greet

This was a particularly exciting week! I got to meet Rihanna with my friend Natalie at an exclusive meet & greet launch event for her River Island collection. We had champagne, we met the lady herself, watched the catwalk show and shopped till we (or our credit cards) dropped. She was very sweet, down to earth and absolutely stunning! Did I mention she was absolutely stunning?! Aghhh she is just sex on legs!

The collection is actually much better than I expected - very wearable and isn't too over the top. There is something there for every style, shape or size...Speaking about the collection Rihanna said: "Designing is fun, it's something I love to do creatively. I express myself through music and through fashion so it kind of helps to paint a picture of who I am. The collection is sassy, it's easy and it's Rihanna!"

I bought two body con dresses, a bra and a cap with her tattoo design on it.
