New finds: Holiday buys

I'm off on holiday to Croatia in about a week to my cousin's house and have found a few great bits to take with me! When working in PR you feel like you need a holiday or rehab every other week, so I'm counting down the daysssss!!

1. The Body Shop bronzing kabuki brush, £16. I've heard great things about Bobbi Brown and Real Techniques brushes but if you don't want to spend too much money or can't find Real Techniques anywhere like me, the Body Shop has really good make up brushes.

2. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Bronzer in number 2, £23. This new bronzer was recommended to me by two friends, and it's so popular that Liberty have run out of stock for weeks and have a waiting list! It's really great, stays on all day (bingo!) and blends perfectly with the bronzer brush. Well worth the money.

3. Rihanna for River Island black crochet midi skirt, £15 on sale. I've wanted this 90's style skirt since I saw it on Rihanna months ago, but the £40 price tag shocked me at the time!! Finally the sale came and I can't wait to wear it to the beach!

4. Topshop premium fringe kimono, £50. Another item back by popular demand, this fringe kimono is also sold out all over the UK. I've bought a size 10 as I wanted it so badly!! Great item for winter as well....I love anything with hints of 70's.

The Glastonbury experience

Anyone that has been to the other world that is Glastonbury festival will know what I'm talking about when I say there is NOTHING like it anywhere else. Some people have been going for 20 years, and a lot of people even bring their babies.

Despite growing so big, the festival has stayed true to its hippy roots from the 70s, and you can really feel this vibe when you are there every day. It consumes people, everyone is so friendly, there is so much to do, so much ethnic food to try and the music is incredible. I have now been four times and I still haven't seen everything - it's impossible.

The line up is great every year, and there is so much good music to see that you have to prioritize, skip certain artists and even go off on your own to see things if the group of friends you are with isn't keen. There is something for everyone, though, and every genre you can imagine. There re comedy tents, circus areas, craft field, healing field, green futures field, lots of different stages, etc. etc. I could go on.

The best thing about Glasto is that you could roam around with no purpose, and meet so many fun people and find something extraordinary every day that inspires you. You are in a different world for five days, and for me it now feels like another home.

Thank you Michael Eavis!!!

For more Glastonbury info and to get tickets click here (yeah, good luck with that!!!! all 170,000 sell out within minutes).

For now here are some photos from my trip there...we saw the Rolling Stones!

Style: My birthday

I think I must have celebrated my birthday for the whole week so I'm going to space these posts out! On my actual birthday I took the day off work and went to afternoon tea at the beautiful Landmark hotel in London, and a few days later I had a great summer's day out with some friends at the pub and then at Jamie's Italian (I have a gold member card, don't judge).

Review of the afternoon tea coming shortly, but here's what I wore to the day out...

London Food: Daphne's ice cream cart

How cute and pretty is this little cart? I want to steal it, run off and wheel it back to my flat!! In celebration of the arrival of the warm weather, Daphne’s restaurant in Kensington has created a beautiful bespoke ice cream cart offering six summer flavours inspired by the festive tennis season.

The ice cream cart will be parked in front of the restaurant on the 6th and 7th July, and will be offering takeaway cones.

The treats will also be available on Daphne’s A La Carte menu where one can relax in the open roof conservatory and enjoy the iced treat in addition to the restaurant’s famous seasonal Italian cooking.

Flavours on offer:
- Strawberry and Shortbread Smash:
Ice cream made with English strawberries and homemade all- butter shortbread

- Lob? It was on the Lime:
